Apple Tree Cottages are family-owned and run by John and Vivienne who’ve lived at The Dairy Farm as tenants since they were married in 1968. The land was previously owned by the Saltmarshe family who had received it from William the Conqueror as a reward for services rendered.
Apple Tree Cottages are situated on a working arable farm. Initially a dairy farm, the only livestock now on-site is the family’s dog Rufus and a few of the neighbour’s sheep. Rufus is very friendly and loves to go for a walk with our guests.
All the surrounding land belongs to the farm and guests are welcome to go for walks, fish in the ponds or bring a bicycle to explore this beautiful area.
