Visit

Beverley

The cobbled streets and courtyards of this historic town are home to quirky cafes and highly rated restaurants and pubs. Some of Britain’s best flat racing takes place at the famous racecourse and the town is also well known for its ancient Minster and Georgian streets. Easily reached from Apple Tree Cottages, a visit wouldn’t be complete without a stroll on the Westwood, where sheep and cattle roam free, grazing on pasture in the summer. www.visithullandeastyorkshire.com

What’s

on

Situated close to the traditional town of Howden, there is easy access to many different places in Yorkshire via road or rail. There are plenty of tourist attractions and beautiful places for visitors to enjoy, from the East Yorkshire coastline to the Yorkshire Dales, all within an hour.

Howden itself has many different restaurants and bars for visitors to enjoy, as well as small independent shops selling unique and individual products for those special gifts for you or your loved ones. If you are planning your wedding, and haven’t yet found the perfect dress, we recommend you make an appointment at Chloë Jane Bridalwear in Howden; a leading stockist of luxury bridal gowns including internationally acclaimed designers and couture pieces.

A point of interest is the Howdenshire Hall live music venue that has many activities for those who like to partake in the arts. We are just 5 miles from the larger town of Goole, where there are high street shops, three supermarkets, a leisure centre and the Junction which is a theatre/cinema showing both local and mainstream productions.
