Dogs are very welcome to come and stay at Appletree Cottages at Saltmarshe. All of the cottages are equipped to accommodate man’s best friend. On request we can provide a canine care pack; including water and food bowls, dog waste bags, and blankets to protect the furniture, among other useful items.

The cottages are located in rural parkland beside the River Ouse providing scenic and ideal routes for dog walking with facilities to wash muddy paws outside each cottage. The local pub, The Bricklayers Arms comes highly recommended for food and drinks in the area. It is also dog friendly and only 1.75 miles from the cottages location. Both River and Yew Tree Cottages have enclosed gardens so that dogs can have free access to come in and out as they please. Rufus, the resident dog is always happy to make new friends as well.

Set in close proximity to 90 acres of parkland, there is an abundance of routes for visitors to explore with 4 legged friends. Whether it is long rural or short riverside walks both are on the doorstep. All types of dog are welcome at Apple Tree Cottages, which provide a safe and secure environment for dogs and their owners. Dogs will enjoy the enclosed gardens provided in River and Yew Tree Cottages, giving them freedom to roam inside and outside the cottages at their leisure. Canine care packs are available, providing the basics required for the best doggie holiday.

Many of these sites offer dog friendly refreshment opportunities onsite or in the local vicinity giving you the chance to sample Yorkshire’s delicious local produce.
